Welcome to Orchid Cruise Halong Bay

09:15 You will be collected from Hanoi Old Quarter to take the new highway to Got Ferry Terminal – Cat Hai Town, Haiphong City where we arrive at around 11h30.

12:00 Transfer by tender to the ORCHID CRUISE.

12:15 We welcome our guests onboard the ORCHID CRUISE and then check in, enjoy Welcome Drink, receive cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in.

12:40 ORCHID CRUISE boat proceeds to Da Chong islet, where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. We have lunch before continuing our journey via the islets of Con Vit and Gia Luan. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched, as not many cruise ships use the route via the Cat Ba Island - Thoi Quyt area - Coc Ngoi islet - through Cua Van to Ba Trai Dao area.

15:00 We progress to Ba Trai Dao beach area of Lan Ha Bay - a separate part of Halong Bay. The region is known for its pristine beaches and spectacular beauty, having about 400 fascinating islands. You may prefer to try your hand at kayaking or simply just enjoy a swim. This is a great experience, immersed in the crystal clear water of the bay, in the Ba Trai Dao area.

18:00 It’s time to try the authentic well-known local liquor as “Ba Kich liquor” (Morinda officinalis). This is a kind of wealthy and tasty liquor which is really highly recommending liquor in Viet Nam. You might never forget this lovely purple liquor

18:30 Returning ORCHID CRUISE boat you can watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Onboard you may join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes. In the early evening the boat has its Happy Hour deal.

19:30 Deluxe dinner is served. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff.

21:30 Enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing, watching a movie in the restaurant. Overnight on board.

06:00 Tai Chi session on the sundeck; after which we serve breakfast. Upon completing breakfast continue our journey and head out in canoes to explore the bay in the area where the Sang Toi cave is situated.

9:30 Visitors then return to ORCHID CRUISE boat for check-out procedures

10:00 Whilst cruising back you can enjoy a delightful brunch

10:30 Tea Ceremony is served at the restaurant. You will learn how to enjoy Vietnamese tea and Vietnamese cultural at this ceremony. Joining Tea Ceremony with our crews team and have great fun with us!

11:35 We return to the quay side in the south of the bay, where our visitors disembark.

14:00 Back to your drop-off point in Hanoi. End of the trip

Morning:

Get picked up from your hotel (in or near Hanoi Old Quarter and not included in cabin price) by Orchid Limousine at 9:00am. Follow the newest highway connecting Hanoi and Hai Phong. Upon arrival at Dinh Vu Port, passengers will be welcomed by hospitable staff at Orchid Cruise’s lounge. After enjoying a special cup of tea, around 12.00am, Orchid tender will transfer tourists to the main boat Orchid Cruise.

Afternoon:

After check-in onboard, you will receive cruise briefing and safety instruction. Lunch will be served in the luxury restaurant on board - as you savour the exquisite Vietnamese and international cuisines, the cruise will slowly head pass beautiful islets in Halong Bay such as Da Chong, Con Vit, and Gia Luan.

Our stop today is at Ba Trai Dao beach, an untouched pristine beach of Halong Bay area where you can either kayak around or use the local rowing boat to visit the nearby fishing village (program applies from April to November). During the winter season, we will instead visit Viet Hai village and take a cycling trip around the village and visit an ancient local house. 

Later return to our cruise to watch the amazing sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Cooking demonstration will be held on board, or enjoy our happy hour at our Bar.

Evening:

Around 7:30pm, dinner will be served. Then, you can take a rest in your own room after a long day of interesting activities, enjoy the seascape of the Bay at night or if you are into socializing, take a climb up on the top deck, try squid fishing, or watching movie in the restaurant.

Morning:

Only early birds can enjoy the splendid beauty of Halong Bay at sunrise and participate in Tai Chi lesson. Breakfast will be catered as Orchid Cruise heads to Bai Tu Long Bay. After enjoying breakfast, passengers will move to smaller boats which will take you to visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village and explore daily life of its fishermen. Swimming and kayaking are available at this area. At 12:00am, lunch will be served.

Afternoon:

In the afternoon, Orchid Cruise will bring tourists to visit one of the most stunning caves in Halong Bay – Surprising Cave (Sung Sot Cave) where you can admire beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. At 3:30pm, passengers will return to the main boat for relaxing and enjoying the seascape.

Evening:

Dinner will be served around 7:30pm. After that, tourists can enjoy their free time onboard: admiring Halong Bay beauty on the sundeck, sipping a drink and making new friends at the cruise’s luxury bar, watching movie, or trying squid fishing with staff.

Morning: Early risers can enjoy the spectacular beauty of Halong Bay in the early morning and take part in Tai Chi class. After eating breakfast, tourists will be transferred by canoes to explore Dark and Bright Cave. At 9:45am, tourists will be back on Orchid Cruise for check-out schedule. A delightful brunch will be catered 30 minutes later. Around 11:35am, the cruise returns to Dinh Vu Port, tourists disembark and say goodbye to the cruise. Orchid mini bus will transfer you back to Hanoi. Trip ends.
